Is This Site Under Construction?
Yes. Please excuse the construction and keep in mind that much of the site has yet to be completed.
How Can I Access The Materials?
Many items are available in full-text on the site or through an online link. For those that are
not, e-mail me at kief@aavw.org and
ask for a specific item or items. Where possible, especially in the case of government documents,
full-text and images are, or can be provided. More are on the way. Other items can likely be
found at a library near you. You might want to try a
Federal Depository Library
for government documents or a
public or academic library
for others.
Why Is There So Much Space Filler?
Because this site is under construction, there is a lot of space filler ("Insert text
here..." etc.) This will be eliminated over time.
Is There A Search Engine?
Yes. Please go to the Search The Site page.
Can I Submit A Citation / Resource / Story?
Yes. If you are aware of resources not on this site that are related to African-American
involvement in the Vietnam War please send me an email at
kief@aavw.org.
When notifying me of a resource, please describe the item (title, date, publication, etc.) as
fully as you can. If you are a veteran of the war or the protest movement and wish to
tell your story, I respectfully invite you to share your experiences in your own words on this
site's Message Board.
