A group of mostly white anti-war protestors and mostly African-American activists gathered to
form a coalition to present their set of demands at the Democratic National Convention in
Chicago later that year. The groups caucused separately (25 African-Americans and 175 white),
later bringing their demands into a unified front. The group as a whole dedicated themselves to
promote issues rather than endorse any particular party or candidate.
