"6 To Face Murder Charges for G.I.'s Riot in Prison." New York Times, October 1, 1968, p. 3.

Six African-American prisoners at Longbinh who were involved in the riots there in 1968 were charged with murder or conspiracy to commit murder. The charges resulted from the death of a white inmate who died as a result of being beaten with a shovel.
