The following is from the back cover of The Truth Will Set You Free:

In the pages of his autobiography, Samuel Hoard takes us back to his childhood in St. Louis, Missouri, his college years in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and his service to people from all walks of life as a pastor and military chaplain. His anecdotes reveal the subtleties and outright cruelties of racism within society and the church and demonstrate his enduring passion for communicating the Gospel despite the roadblocks.

A retired pastor, Samuel L. Hoard served churches in the New York City area; Kansas City, Missouri; and Orlando, Florida; and served as a military chaplain in Vietnam, Germany, and with the Army Reserves and the Florida National Guard. He currently resides in Orlando, Florida.
